A bunch of stuff that defies titles

How’s that for an original title?

I took last week off to work on the design for a new site I am launching with Sean Platt. We’ve been working on it for many months behind the scenes and it seems like it’s almost ready to go live. I’ll update you with more details later in the week. But for now, I’ll say that the blog centers on blogging, writing and creativity and I can’t wait for you to see it.

So, here’s some random updates.

A love story for the ages

First, check out my newest Taking Up Space comic over at IDrawComics.com. It is maybe my most cynical comic yet.

If you like it, please Tweet it.

Welcome back to an old friend

Dave Fowler is back blogging with his new site, Selfish Blogger. Dave quit blogging a few months ago due to burnout and wanting to spend more time with his family. Seems that the networking aspect of his blogging life was cutting into his personal life and something had to give. Dave, who is well known for his humorous and heartfelt comments on his and other blogs, decided that the only way to get back into blogging AND keep his marriage intact is to blog, but not fall into the commenting routine.

Like writing, want to win some cash?

Patricia is having a writing contest over at her site, Patricias Wisdom, and wants your relationship stories.  Check out the details here.  If you have a relationship, or even if you had one which ended horribly, you likely have a story worth telling. And worth some money, as she is paying the winners in each category.

In the “Why didn’t I think of that?” Department…

The woman who brings you Blogtations (and who has quoted this blog a few times)  has a new blog out called In Three Words and it might be the most genius idea for a blog I’ve seen this year. She posts a prompt such as ,“What turns you on?” and then you answer in three words. Simple, intriguing and fun!

That’s it for today. See you on Wednesday!

I came across In Three Words last week on Twitter. It really is the coolest idea ever. Don’t you hate that, when there’s an idea that costs no money or time to implement and that vibrates with genius and you were nowhere near the thought.

That site your building with that dude sounds awesome.

Thanks for the mention! I love , love, love reading the responses on the Three Words posts. It’s amazing how much people can say in only a few words.

And can’t wait for the launch of your design site!

I LOVE the Three Words site, but it will be no good for Dave Fowler and Writer Dad – those two have way too much to say for themselves!
And that new comic strip? Genius!
