BloggerDad Comics: Twitterthetic

I was originally going to write a post of random thoughts tonight. I thought they were kinda’ funny on first read. On the second, third and 22, not so…

So here’s a comic instead. If you like it, feel free to tweet it.

Site changes

I took down the winter header on my site and put up a new one. I’m still tweaking the site, but I’d love to hear what you think of the new header.

Four Seasons delivers!

If you’re not a member of Writer Dad’s (Sean Platt) mailing list, then you are missing one of the best short stories I’ve ever read. Sean is sending out short stories each month which are part of a bigger overall piece called Four Seasons. Each story is named after a different month. February is absolutely magical! He sent me a sneak peek last night and I was blown away by its subtle beauty and inspirational energy which stirs the soul.

If you haven’t already signed up, it’s free to do. Check out his post today to learn more.

Speaking of stories…

Sal at Everyday Thoughts is doing an Endless Story where he started a story and his readers are continuing it in the comment section. I wrote a piece of it last night and love the story taking shape. Check it out and help write the story!

  1. Great comic.

Love the new header as well. Throw dishes out didn’t work for me, my fiancee didn’t approve. So I just dropped them on the floor and blamed the cat.

Speaking of, do all the writers I follow have a (ginger and white) cat? Is it like a pre-requisite to being a good writer? If so I feel as I’m already half way there…wait I have two of them, does this mean I’ve made it!?

  2. Nice post, thanks for the laugh.

Love the Twitter comic. It’s easy to feel boring on Twitter. That’s why I’m almost never on. I just feel like such a loser face.

Thanks for the February shout out. I’m glad you liked it. It was a lot of fun to write.

Your cartoon random commentary turned out to be a perfect post today… I happened to make mention of your cartooning skills.

I’m sure everyone on Twitter is thinking the same exact thing…

I have had the very same thought about the ShamWow guy!

If forced to analyze it, I suppose he’s being so overwhelmed by the amount of phone calls coming in to order the ShamWow that he has to keep his headset on while he shows us all how awesome the product is.

That doesn’t make sense, I know. But I think it might be a subliminal message.

I have to say I really do find the ShamWow a fascinating product but I’m not spending the money on it. OH! I’m going to ebay to see if anyone is selling one.

    Bye!

MArc – Thanks for the nice words. Good job on blaming the cat. Blame mine, while you’re at it. Pain in the ass deserves some scolding.

As to the question, must good writers have a ginger cat? That’s an interesting theory. It’s probably not necessary, but it can’t hurt. They offer plenty of inspiration. And by inspiration, I mean of course, headaches.

    Chasing Sanity – thanks

Writer Dad – Thank you. And yeah, Twitter mocks me, too.

Lindsay – two welsh people in one day? Hmmm… I’m spotting a trend. Thanks for the comment.

Ck Lunchbox – Thanks for the mention, I appreciate it.

Cardiogirl – LOL, good luck on the eBay bid! Tell me how well it works – or doesn’t. As for Mr. ShamWow, as a general rule of thumb, I trust nobody who wears a headset. Not since Judy, The Time Life Operator broke my heart, that is.

  9. You are just plain entertaining, Blogger Dad. Plus, your kid is super cute, so that earns you bonus points in my book. I am making it official today and joining your fan club (aka followers.) Should I ever get pregnant again, I want to make sure that I am consulting all of the “right” sources for advice.

I like the new header – it is not my favorite but with a few tweaks, it would grab my attention more…I always start with the cute baby! Sorry but it is my eyes first stop.

The cartoon made me think of how much I don’t understand Twitter and with the Internet up and down – well I don’t have too much time for there yet. The cartoon gave me a good chuckle
    That is important.
I am looking forward to reading February, but each time I start my server leaves me – I am wondering about the ending maybe on the 28th.

I am jealous tonight because Vered and other have an ad for Writer Dad’s Book and your illustrations and I don’t…I got a newsletter about it, but could not seem to muster a reply? How do I remedy?

Will respond to your emails soon and a delighted you are feeling better!
Thank you for your joy and adventure…awesome dude that you are.

  12. Hi Sean – I’m still laughing at the comic, “Thanks Twitter for showing me how boring my life is”.

The header looks great. I love your humor
