Oh, there are just too many to list. Like all those stupid abbreviations that when you search on them find out half the people who have used the hashtag don’t know what it means either. I’ve given up watching the trending list anymore. Mostly because I’m not cool. But you are so right on with Jon and Kate.

PRICELESS!!! And definitely worth a Tweet!

Love it. “Adrift in a sea of stupid.” That is awesome. Isn’t it crazy what people really care about as opposed to what they should care about?

I don’t find a lot of those trending topics in my twitter stream.. maybe because I tend to follow industry professionals (Recruiters/HR). I also follow local tweeps and don’t seem to notice that much noise. I don’t follow everyone back that follows me, I check them out and if I’m not interested I just pass and I don’t hesitate to unfollow or block.

Aint that the truth! Retweeting!

My pet hates (for there are many!) on Twitter are people who say “get 500 new followers overnight” when they have about 15 followers themselves. People who put a message on a loop so you get the same dross at the same time every day. People who don’t ever interact with others. People who shove out tedious spam all the live long day. People who talk about Nutella on toast when I am trying to lose weight . . . .

The celebrity trending topics – pah. The richest: some techie/social ntwrk guru type guy who wanted to see his name in the trending topics for his birthday…. and people actually RT’d it, I believe he made it – big whoop, roll my eyes, and sigh – never in a million years would I RT that. This blog/post – no problem – off to the twitterverse I go….
Just my feelings exactly, only that there are times when twitter feels like Cheers, “where everybody knows your name” and all that.
Ah, Twitter…
I’m still a Twitter newbie; I forget I’ve joined mosts days, and I haven’t even got a button (where do folk get those wee bird buttons?) so it’s always a shock when I get an email saying some stranger is following me. Following what?! All I ever do is retweet Friends’ posts when I remember I can, say daft boring things to friends like “Hey, I finally managed to log into Twitter without the laptop crashing!” or occasionally say “I just posted a piece on…..”
More cartoons please, Dave. I love them”!! They remind me to try and say more with less!
