I’d like to direct your attention to Tom Sanford’s site, Biking Architect.
Tom is the husband of regular commenter Patricia from Patricia’ Wisdom. She asked her daughter and I to help give Tom a blog for Christmas this year. Her daughter designed it and I consulted and helped with some of the content and on the back end a bit.
Tom is a nice, down to earth guy, a Senior Partner at MSGS Architects in the Washington State area who has worked on many large projects for businesses and local government. He is very passionate about green sustainable building technologies and is one of the more knowledgeable people I’ve met in the field. He has a lot of great ideas which the average person can implement in their lives to not only live a bit greener, but also save money.
Tom is also an avid bicyclist and loves being outside every weekend taking in the great outdoors. He plans to write about his biking adventures on a regular basis, also.
I’m sure he’d love to hear from readers who have similar interests, so stop by and say hi.

That site looks awesome! Everyone should check it out. The way you did the categories especially, Dave. Really really cool.

Patricias last blog post..After Math
Thanks for the comments and for participating in the conversation. I’m a little overwhelmed by the blog and how to use it to raise the level of communication and awareness on the environment – how each of us can make changes, even small ones, at every level of our lives. This does seem to be a fascinating way of reaching more places than I ever thought imaginable. My wife and daughter put the page together, but I will readily admit to being a complete novice. Perhaps that’s the fun of it.
Thanks for all your expertise, David.

Writer Dad – Thanks, but Patricia’s daughter gets all the kudos for site design.
Patricia and Tom – Thank you both. And don’t let the blog intimidate you, Tom. You have a wealth of knowledge and a nice, easy going manner in which you communicate. Just be yourself. You’ll be a natural at blogging!
