  2. 39? I remember when I was 39. Ahh, those were the days. Except that I’m in better shape now than I was then. And our daughter now is able to talk in complete sentences. So instead of “Donut!?!” she can say, “Why is there never anything good to eat in this house?”

    Anyway, Happy Birthday!

  3. Kyddryn says:

    Aww…happy birthday, sugar!

Think of it this way – you’re 18 with 21 years experience.

Or, you could do the numerology birthday, which would make you…3!

Such memories…Penguin came along shortly after Blogger Dad and I met. It’s brought smiles and tears to many. And I know that Blogger Dad has much success to come in the next 10 years! Happy Birthday, dear husband!

  5. Oh man, you are OLD!
Old and wise, my friend, old and wise . . .

  6. Writer Dad says:

Forty is the new thirty, so you’re like twenty nine now. Awesome. I loved Kyddryn’s 18 with 21 years experience. LOL.

    Happy birthday, brother!

  7. Happy Bday, Dave!

My 40th is just around the corner. Glad you’ll be there for me to crash into ;) !

The best is yet to come! I love reading Blogger Dad comics. Adorably funny, with a dash of cantankerous wit. L-u-v it.

  9. Trina says:

Woot! Bells, Whistle, Balloons and Streamers to you! Happy Cake Day, Dave,

  10. Happy Birthday!

Remember – there’s no “law” that says you have to acknowledge 40 – or 50 for that matter. From now on, you can claim “39 and holding”!!! Just sayin…:)

You could alway’s take a page out of my great-aunt’s book… a genteel, sweet, southern belle from the anitbellum days… When celebrating 80 years (11 years ago) she was quick to say it was NOT her 80th birthday – it was her SECOND 4oth birthday :) … So on that note I celebrated my second 21st birthday last year, and am looking forward to a great 21 1/2 this year!!! :)

  12. Patricia says:

Hope your birthday week has been the best. Enjoy the last year of thirty fully and nap lots because 40 is when the fun really starts kicking into high gear. 43 has been by best year yet. You feel smarter, more confident, and you don’t give a flip what anyone else thinks and that is liberating creatively. Get on with your bad self Dave.
